Peter` Obi’, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, has urged Nigerians to hold on to optimism for a better country, especially with the general elections in 2023 drawing near.
In a statement made available to The PUNCH on Saturday, Obi said that during his Christmas message to Nigerians for 2022.
He argued that the Christmas holiday gave rise to optimism in the globe and urged Nigerians to cling to that hope in order to build a better and more prosperous country.
He reiterated that Christmas was a time of love and that it was important to constantly remember how God donated His only Son for the salvation of mankind by commemorating the birth of Christ.
He said, “We, as humans should therefore, endeavour to make sacrifice, even when it is painful, for the good of others and for our society.”
Labour Party’s Presidential Aspirant, Peter` Obi’ urged Nigerians to go beyond the celebrations and glitz of the holiday season and make an effort to experience the holiday’s true spirit.
The former governor of Anambra State declared that sharing among friends and supporting the less fortunate are the true meanings of the holiday season and urged everyone to extend a helping hand to one another.
Obi advised Nigerians to recognize 2023 as a pivotal year in the country’s history because it will provide them the chance to change the country’s course by ensuring that only capable individuals are given access to the presidency.
He sent his best wishes to Nigerians for a successful and prosperous new year.
