The Lagos state police command has detained two of Singer Davido’s eight domestic staff members who were summoned for questioning in connection with the death of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi.
An Autopsy is said to be carried out on the little boy to know the exact cause of his death.
According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, six of the domestic staff hauled in for questioning have been freed, while the chef and nanny whose job it was to look after the small child have been held.
According to a source in the know about the terrible situation, the Nanny was with Ifeanyi when the Chef arrived. The Nanny was claimed to have stepped slightly away to take a phone call. She couldn’t find Ifeanyi when she returned and assumed he was with the Chef, but the Chef said he had left Ifeanyi with her. They began frantically searching for Ifeanyi throughout the mansion for over 20 minutes until a security guard saw him in the pool.
Nobody knew how the youngster got into the pool. Davido and Chioma were claimed to have returned from a family gathering just to learn of the tragic news.
