The organizers of Big Brother Titans` disclosed a $100,000 grand prize for the winner during a news conference on Thursday.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Lawrence Maleka will serve as the program’s hosts, according to Busola Tejumola, head of content and West Africa channels at Multichoice Nigeria.
The show will take place in South Africa, it was added.
On January 15 at 7 p.m., Big Brother Titans` will make its television debut on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29, with simultaneous broadcasts on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban, and Africa Magic Family.
Fans can only cast their free votes for their preferred housemates on BBNaija’s official website, mobile app, as well as the MyDStv and MyGOtv applications, according to the organizers.
The 77-day BBTitans will come to an end on April 2, 2023.
When calling for entries in October, Multichoice Nigeria CEO John Ugbe stated that the Big Brother Titans would include elements of both BBNaija and Big Brother Mzansi from South Africa.
According to Ugbe, the reality program would have new contestants who must be nationals of Nigeria or South Africa and possess legal identity.
When asked about the irony of combining BBNaija with BBMzansi, Ugbe said: “The long history of rich culture and talent shared by both countries will be brought to life through the Titan housemates in one house.
“I can only imagine the explosion of drama and intrigue that will ensue, so, imagine ‘Afrobeats’ meeting ‘Amapiano’; imagine the food and everything else that will be showcased; we think this will be quite exciting.
“We are excited about the special big brother season, and we will reveal more details at the right time sometime next year. If you think you have got what it takes to be Biggie’s next reality TV star, this message is for you.”
