We won’t rest: Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, has stated that the Federal government will not rest until social media platforms are regulated.
The minister stated this in an interview with NAN in Washington while reacting to media reports that he sneaked out of Nigeria to meet with Twitter operators to resolve Nigeria’s ban on the micro-blogging site.
According to Lai, fake news like this reaffirms the need for social media to be regulated.
