Chef Lata Tondon, the Indian Chef that set the last record for the longest cooking time of 87 hours, 45 minutes in 2019 has told her supporters and that of the current record holder Hilda Baci who cooked for 100 hours to wait for Guinness World Records to officially announce if her record is broken by Hilda.
Chef Lata Tondon took to her Insta story to tell Indians and Nigerians not to make the task a competition and allow the appropriate body to certify Hilda’s claim.
She wrote “A humble request to all my sisters and brothers in Nigeria and India to maintain peace and wait for the Guinness to officially announce if the current is broken or not, please don’t make it a competition it’s just a record, my friends. I’m a peace-loving person and wish same for you”.
Meanwhile, the Guinness World said they are aware of Hilda’s claim but will first review her evidence to ascertain that a record is broken.
“we’re aware of this amazing record attempt, we need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming a record 💫”, Guinness World Records wrote on Twitter.
