The Public Affairs Officer at the United States Consular Office in Lagos, Stephen Ibelli said that the Embassy will always support Nigerian youths.
He also added the youths will continue to excel in sports, music, fashion, and art entertainment.
Ibelli, stated this at the opening ceremony of the Organised Basketball Network (OBN) Academy Arena in Lekki, on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
While speaking to Newsmen at the event he noted that the future of Nigerian youths was bright if the corporate world continued to invest in sports and entertainment.
“When it comes to sports and entertainment, Nigerian youths have shown that they are really committed. They have also made contributions to science and technology.
“In music, Burna Boy and Wizkid recently won Grammys, which is a plus for the commitment and hard work they put into the industry.

“In football, we have many Nigerians playing in the NBA, and the league currently has the most African players.
“We acknowledge this at the US consular office, and we are always ready to contribute our quota to help Nigerian youths achieve their full potential and be the best they ever wanted to be,” Ibelli said.
Players and coaches, he said, had always come to Nigeria to train young coaches and find talent suitable for US colleges.
The Academy is a 700-capacity state-of-the-art facility designed primarily for the development of children at the age of 6 to 18 years, is located in the Ajah region of Lagos Island.
