Robert Lewandowski, a striker for Barcelona, praised four young players for having talent above their years.
Gavi, 18, Pedri, 19, Ansu Fati, 19, and Ferran Torres, 22, received praise from Robert Lewandowski for their outstanding play this season.
This summer, the Polish international moved from Bayern Munich to Barcelona for €45 million plus €5 million in prospective add-ons.
The 34-year-old has made six league appearances for Xavi’s team and has had an outstanding start to his La Liga career, scoring eight goals and dishing out two assists.
Asked about Barcelona’s youngsters, Lewandowski said (via Barca Universal): “No, I have not played with so many youngsters in one team, Gavi, Pedri, Fati or even Ferran, he is two years older but still young too. These guys, despite their young age, show great quality on the pitch.
“I don’t feel it, but I know they know I’m there for them and they are ready to talk and they are not ashamed to ask me. I am happy to talk to them because I see the great potential in the team and the speed of development of the players.”
Lewandowski is widely regarded as one of tge greatest players as well as one of the greatest strikers of all time. The players he praised are indeed great.
