Temilade Openiyi a.k.a Tems, a Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, has disclosed that she began her career as a producer.
She noted that Nobody wanted to produce songs for her when she was still new in the industry, so she chose to learn music production.
Tems stated during an interview on Jazzys World TV that she was her own motivation and that she persuaded herself that she could do it herself.
Thesinger stated that being a producer helped her in creating the sound she is recognised for today since she was able to mould her sound the way she desired.
Instead of being relaxed, the Try Me crooner advised everyone to be relentless in their pursuit of greatness.
Ecall that the famous Nigerian singer Tems has bagged another Recording Industry Association of America plaque to her award collection with her single “Found”, which exceeded over 500,000 in sales, days after becoming the first Female Nigerian singer to win Grammy Award.
According to chart news platform Chart Data, her song “Found” has crossed 500,000 units in sales in the United States.
Meanwhile, “Essence”, in which Wizkid featured beautiful singer got gold certification in 2021 and double platinum in 2022.
Recall Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, has won Grammy Award in the category she was nominated.
She won the award at the grammy award ceremony held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday February 5th, 2023.
Her contribution to the hit ‘Wait For U’ by Future featuring Drake earned her the award.
