Teenage housewife inserts hot: The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested Aisha Muhammed, an 18-year-old housewife, for torturing her 5-year-old stepdaughter with a hot iron rod for bedwetting.
According to reports, the incident occurred in Wuro Patuji village, Mubi South Local Government Area of the state
The suspect is the victim’s father’s second wife, according to DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje of the State Police Command, who confirmed the arrest in a statement on Friday, July 2.
Nguroje stated that the suspect tortured and injured the child’s private part with a hot iron because she urinated on her bed.
“On January 7, 2021, the Adamawa State police command apprehended an 18-year-old female suspect for torturing and maltreating her 5-year-old stepdaughter,” he said.

“The suspect, Aisha Mohammed, of Wuro Patuji village in Mubi South Local Government Area, took advantage of the baby following her mother’s divorce, which placed her in the care and custody of her stepmother.”
“Investigation reveals that the suspect, the victim’s father’s second wife, committed the offence by torturing and inflicting injury on the baby’s private part because she urinated on her bed.”
“The wicked stepmother was arrested by police in Mubi South Local Government Area following a report from Aisha Abdullahi (victim’s mother) and Barrister Khadija Nasir, a female lawyer,” he added.
While commending FIDA and the police for exposing and making it impossible for such criminals to escape justice, the Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, directs that discreet investigations be conducted while the victim is receiving medical attention.
Meanwhile, as part of its efforts to combat criminal activities and other related offences in the state, the CP deployed officers from the family unit/Human rights section to go after and apprehend anyone committing such heinous crimes.
He also encourages people to always report suspicious people in their neighbourhoods to the police.
