A young man by name Olorunda has died after being hit by a stray bullet during a clash between two rival cult groups in Ilesa, Osun State.
The incident occurred around 9.00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9, in the Irojo area of the town, when two rival cult groups engaged in a fierce gun battle.
According to report, the armed cultists shot at a rival gang member but missed their target, killing Olorunda.

Also, an eyewitness, Adeaoye Adedokun, said the deceased, who worked at a sawmill in the area, was on his way to buy cowpea for breakfast when he was hit by a stray bullet.
SP Yemisi Opalola, the spokesperson for the State Police Command, confirmed the incident in Osogbo on Wednesday, saying the victim was hit by a stray bullet.
While a police investigation was underway, Opalola stated that calm had been restored in the area.
