Sheik Gumi has criticized politicians who used private jets to attend Yusuf Buhari’s wedding in Kano over the weekend.
The wedding drew a large number of powerful dignitaries, including former Nigerian leaders, diplomats, businessmen, monarchs, and others.
A video was circulated on the internet depicting the large number of private jets that landed at Aminu Kano International Airport for the wedding.
Gumi, who is dissatisfied with this development, stated that the politicians displayed opulence in the midst of the country’s abject poverty.

According to the Guardian, the cleric confronted the politicians while preaching at the Sultan Bello Mosque in Kaduna over the weekend.
