Nigerian Senator And Human Rights Activist Shehu Sani has mocked Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari for saying that he is being somehow harassed for being the President of the Nigeria.
In a documentary titled “celebrating a patriot, a leader, an elder statesman,” which was screened on Friday night at a private dinner hosted by his family and close friends to commemorate his 80th birthday, President Buhari bemoaned the lack of life-changing events he has encountered during his eight years in office.
President Muhammadu Buhari has been made fun of by former Nigerian politician Senator Shehu Sani for saying he won’t miss his time in government since he is being “harassed.”
At a private dinner hosted by his family and close friends on Friday night to mark his 80th birthday, President Buhari saw a documentary titled “celebrating a patriot, a leader, an elder statesman,” in which he lamented that he has not had an extraordinary experience in years.
Buhari acknowledged that, while doing his best for Nigerians as their president, his efforts fall short. He claims that some people try to bring his administration into disrepute.
“I believe I’m trying my best, but still my best is not good enough because there are people around that think that they can intimidate me to get what they want instead of going through certain systems to earn whatever they want to earn. And there are some people who want to be clever by half,” he said.
“I wonder if I am going to miss much. I think I’m being harassed,” Buhari added.
When asked about President Buhari’s claim that he was being harassed, Senator Sani of Kaduna Central Senatorial District responded, “The President says he is being harassed. As you did with Presidents Obasanjo, Yar’adua, and Jonathan, stop bothering him. Just give him a kind, polite, and sensitive critique. What the senator Shehu Sani stated is quite Amazing.
