Late Sammie Okposo’s family has finally revealed his funeral arrangements.
According to the reports, his appreciation night would be on Tuesday, December 13th, then his service of songs on Wednesday, December 14th.
The singer’s burial will be on December 15, 2022, but not everyone will attend, as entrance is only for those who were invited.
The Okposo family said they are okay because they are assured that the singer is happily praising God with the angels.
“We are the consoled because we know he is with Jesus singing with the angels. We kindly request that the family is allowed to grieve peacefully at this time”, Sammie Okposo’s Family statement reads.
Pastor Flourish who was among some pastors who made a tribute post for the late Sammie Okposo, said he didn’t slump as initially reported by many blogs but rather slept and didn’t wake up.
“On Friday, I received a troubling call around 4.45 am – a call I wish I never received. But it is what it is. It was Ozy Okposo (Sammie Okposo’s wife’s name) on the other side of the phone saying ‘Sammie, wake up in Jesus’ name’.
“So, contrary to what blogs reported, he did not slump and die. He sat on the chair watching TV, before sleeping. But never went back upstairs to sleep. From his sleep, he slept into glory.
“I went there and saw the body. I conducted CPR and hit him hard. But nobody sees Jesus and looks away. It becomes challenging when a believer crosses over to the other side.
It is deeply painful for me. I feel hurt,” he said.
