Cristiano Ronaldo has responded to the media for making a big deal out of nothing, concerning the Bruno Fernandes’ uncomfortable handshake.
The acclaimed angry exchange between the two club teammates that occurred in the national team’s dressing room which sparked controversy last week has been handled.
Fans asserted that Bruno was unimpressed with his club teammate’s remarks during his explosive interview with Piers Morgan before the handshake.
After the 5-times Ballon d’Or winner’s interview, uneasy exchanges between the two players at the Portuguese camp were captured.
The striker’s blasting of his club coach, Erik ten Hag, surprised the United fans, while many United fans said he should leave for feeling bigger than the team, others were pleased with what he said in the interview.
The Portuguese captain claimed that the handshake was overhyped and that fake stories had taken over the internet about them clashing due to the interview.
According to a source, the other Portugal players agreed that there was really nothing behind the handshake.
“In these final stages, there is always controversy. This one with Bruno Fernandes was another one that went wrong for you. You fail a lot. I made a joke with Bruno because my relationship with him is excellent.
He arrived late because his plane was delayed and I asked him if he had come by boat. It was a prank and they made it into a storm,” Ronaldo said.
