President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the recent killings by bandits in Zamfara State, warning that “such wanton disrespect for life will be brought to an end sooner rather than later.”

the president noted that the relentless brutality against innocent citizens must come to an end.
“These suspects should avoid pressing their luck and pretending that the law is incapable of crushing them.” He said.
Buhari, however, urged the military, police, and intelligence agencies to take urgent action to plug all operational loopholes that are being abused by criminals to cause havoc.
He also expressed hope that the Special Operation conducted by the military in the early hours of Thursday from the Maru Local Government Area would be decisive in ridding the state of the “frequent and horrifying” bandit activities.
“This government will not allow brutality against vulnerable farmers who are dealing with hunger and other serious economic challenges.”

He urged security forces to “redouble their efforts to put an end to the senseless brutality against innocent citizens.
“Let us not give these terrorists a chance to prosper by bringing the fight to their camps and stopping them before they have a chance to react under our vast firepower.” He said.
The president reassured the people of Zamfara that despite the latest setback in their efforts to protect its citizens, there will be no compromise in their determination to defeat the enemies of humanity.
