A Nigerian Police Officer with the name Aliyu Giwa has caused a buzz on Twitter after saying Nigeria deserve the kind of Police they have.
Giwa made the statement while reacting to a tweet where a user said he hates men of the Nigerian Police Force and would never render help to them if he be in position to do so.
“If I see a policeman dying by the roadside and needing help, God in heaven knows I will not help. I will jump and pass. I hate you guys. All of you Nigerian policemen. My experience with you guys have left me very bitter. Even you Mr. Ben, I hate you. You guys irritate me”, Kelvin Odanz wrote.
Reacting to Odanz comment he said “How do you feel with such comment? I guess this makes you feel great, right? Well! like it is said, every citizen deserves the kind of society they belong to, every society deserves the kind of Leaders they have. However, every society deserves the kind of Police that they have”, Giwa wrote.
Many Nigerians came for Giwa for putting out the statement on his handle as Babatunde Koiki said “Many Nigerians are not happy with the Nigerian police. Do you think in a fair fight many policemen would prevail? Na uniform & gun dey save dem o! Y’all have no excuse for the brutality unleashed on civilians. Even when I was broke & hungry, I didn’t become a public menace”.
Jussy Pablo wrote “You guys should keep notice of him and in anyway he needed the police help, it should be turned down”.
