Chidiogo, 11, and Mr. Ani Virginus Ugwuja, 57, who died in the Owo church massacre on the Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owaluwa, Owin Owo, Ondo State, on June 5, 2022, have been buried at their village.
Father and daughter were laid to rest on Saturday, July 2 in the Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State.
It was learned that the deceased’s wife and one of his children had attended the early morning service that fateful day and returned safely.
Meanwhile, the late Ani, together with his son and daughter, Chidiogo, joined the subsequent service, which is when the Owo church massacre took place.
The son of the dead reportedly managed to survive by claiming to have also been shot before tumbling into his father’s body.
