Famous and Grammy Award-winning Nigerian singer Wizkid yesterday created controversy on social media after he unfollowed his fellow celebrities whom he didn’t have issues with.
According to reports he unfollowed popular skit maker Broda Shaggi, Tems whom he featured in his hit song Essence, Nollywood actress Osas Ighodaro who recently celebrated meeting the singer in person, and Davido whom he paid a tribute to his late son at his recent concert.
The reason behind his actions is still unknown as Broda reportedly cried out over the singer’s action towards him.
Broad Shaggi took to his Instagram story to express his shock over Wizkid’s action as he threatens not to eat for three days.
“Wizkid don unfollow me too! I won’t eat anything for 3 years… Only water. Who vex popsy o,” he wrote
Some internet users have also reacted to the singer’s action as Hosh Poppi said pride is the reason why Wizkid unfollowed his colleagues, while he noted that Davido is the only Nigerian celebrity following a huge number of people on social media.
“Pride is the problem of Nigerian celebrities, check foreign artists they follow up to 2000 people, only Davido do that in Nigeria”, he wrote.
