An old farmer wrote a letter to his son who was jailed reminding him of how useful he was to their family and how he was not able to farm because of his absence.
The old farmer also lamented of how he might not be able to dig the ground as his son would have helped if he was a free man.
On seeing the letter the son replied by telling his father not to bother to dig the ground stating that he buried all the money he stole there.
Unfortunately the police read his message to his old father and they quickly went to the field to search for the money.
The old man son wrote another letter telling his father to go ahead and farm his crops knowing that the police have dugged the whole field.
See their conversation below:
“Dear Son, this year I won’t be able to plant Potatoes because I can’t dig the field by myself, I know if you are here, you would have helped me”.
The Son writes back,
“Dad don’t even think of digging the field because that’s where I buried all the money I stole.”
The Police read the letter and the next Day the whole field was dugged up looking for the money but nothing was found.
The following Day the Son wrote again,
‘Now plant your Potatoes dad, it’s the best I can do from here. ‘
