Minister Of Education, Adamu Adamu Has Assured Nigerians That The ASUU Strike, Hopefully, Will Be Called Off In The Next One Week
The Minister Of Education, Adamu Adamu spoke about the ASUU strike in an interview with Channels Television on Wednesday. During the Interview he spoke about the means by which he the strike can be called off.
According to a Twitter handle (ASUU OFFICIAL NG), Adamu Adamu assured Nigerians that the impasse between the Federal Government and The Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU) will be resolved soonest and the strike, hopefully, will be called off in the next one week.
This statement has sparked hope among Nigerian students and they hope that it work out.
In that same Interview, Adamu Adamu said that they have started paying the backlog salaries of lecturers. He also said that a committee has been set up to review the “No work, No pay” policy.
