A woman who has a striking resemblance with Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson has alleged to be her biological mother
She expressed that she got married to a Kogi state man and gave birth to three children for him. She was pregnant with the fourth child when her mother came from Cameroon to inform her about her father who was unrecoverably sick and wished to see his grandchildren before kicking the bucket.
Her husband permitted her to go with the last child, leaving Mercy Johnson and her elder brother, Martin Ngei with their dad and one woman. She stated that she has been going round Nigeria for over 30 years now looking for her children.
According to the woman, when she finally saw Mercy, the actress asked for a DNA test to confirm her story. She went to the hospital and met with Mercy’s husband, Prince Okojie.
However, Mercy Johnson’s husband denied knowing her and said she was not the person who collected the bride price he paid for to marry Mercy Johnson.
She told him that she didn’t come to take his wife away from him. Prince Okojie at last agreed to pay for a DNA test but told her to pay hers.
The woman found this annoying because she used all her money on transportation fees to Nigeria.
She also said that Mercy’s birth name is Ngei Magdalene and that she was born in 1982 as she claimed to be willing to take the DNA test.
“I gave birth to her at a private hospital in Benue state. She is aware that I am her biological mother and she knows that Mercy Johnson is not her real name. In fact when I came to Nigeria she asked me what’s my real name and I told her”, the woman said
