Man bags 1-month: A Magistrates’ Court in Ota, Ogun State, on Friday, July 30, sentenced a 23-year-old artisan, Wasiu Ibrahim, to one month in prison for stealing a wall fan worth N6, 000.
Ibrahim was sentenced without the option of a fine by Magistrate A.O. Adeyemi.
According to Adeyemi, the prosecutor proved beyond a reasonable doubt that the convict was guilty.
Ibrahim, whose address was not given, had pled not guilty to theft and burglary.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp E.O.Adaraloye, told the court that the convict committed the crime around 2 a.m. on July 1, at the Adefarasin Community, Illogbo Area of Ota.
Ibrahim, according to Adaraloye, broke into the complainant’s home and stole a wall fan.
According to the prosecution, the offence violated sections 390(9) and 412 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
