`Kylian Mbappé, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has planned to leave the club at the end of the season. He’s upset with the Paris Saint Germain management for their broken promises, according to the Spanish news outlet ‘Sport’. The Frenchman feels he has accomplished everything at the club and is looking to advance professionally elsewhere.
When his contract with the French club expired in May, Mbappe was on the verge of moving to Real Madrid. He was the highest-paid footballer in the world, but the Parisians were able to persuade him to stay with a generous contract offer.
However, uncertainty surrounding his future remains, especially with reports of a rift between Mbappe and Neymar Jr. and then Lionel Messi.
`Kylian Mbappé has already risen to the top of the game. He could, however, prefer to stand out on his own rather than having to share the spotlight with two other prominent figures.
In order to assist his exit, Ad Sport also reports that he is willing to accept a pay reduction. He hopes PSG will reduce their asking price so that it doesn’t prevent him from finding a new home.
Mbappe wants the club to bargain for a lower price than the €150 million Real Madrid is willing to pay for his services.
Less than a year after signing his lucrative contract deal, it would be a full 180 in his transfer saga if he does in fact push for an escape.
Signed on a staggering €180 million transfer from Monaco in 2017, initially on loan, Mbappe has been a key player for PSG ever since. He has scored 191 goals in 238 appearances in all competitions and is just nine goals away from being the club’s all-time top scorer.
His exploits have helped the side to 11 titles during this period, including four in Ligue 1, although a Champions League medal has eluded him so far.
Kylian Mbappe and PSG back with a bang
PSG resumed their 2022-23 campaign on Wednesday (December 28). They secured a 2-1 league win over Strasbourg, with Kylian Mbappe netting a 96th-minute winning penalty.
