Meta, the parent company of Instagram, has removed the verified Instagram account of suspected Internet scammer Abbas Ramoni, also known as Hushpuppi.
Hushpuppi, who is presently being tried in the United States of America on allegations of impersonation, swindling, identity theft, and other offences, was detained in Dubai in 2020 by agents of the Dubai Police and the US Federal Bureau of Investigations.
Hushpuppi’s colourful lifestyle was showcased on his page before his arrest.
A short search reveals that the handle has been deactivated since it does not appear among the results shown.
