Ex-BBNaija housemate Beauty and former Miss Nigeria Beauty Tukura says she was shocked to win the best-dressed female celebrity at the recent African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).
The reality TV star in a recent interview revealed that she was surprised when they called her up to receive her award as the best dressed.
According to Beauty she never expected to be called because she felt it was her first time attending the AMVCA event.
Beauty explained that she would have come along with her manager and some other friends to take the award if she had known that she will be given such an honorarium.
She said: “I knew about the AMVCA but I didn’t really take it seriously because it was not my thing. So when they told me to come up and take my award as the best dress I was shocked, I was even trying to hide my face. It was Tobi Bakre who told me to go out and get my award after he asked what I was doing”.
“When I went to take to the award, I stood on the stage and saw the crowd looking at me then I realized I was supposed to say something all I could say was that fashion is a part of life then I quickly worked back to my seat, they were like why was I running?
It was a big honour because that was the highest stage, if I had known that’s how it will be I would have prepared well, I would have come with my manager and others to walk with me, but it was a surprise I was shocked”, Beauty said.
