I prefer to be identified as Igbo: A former housemate and a finalist in the just concluded Big Brother Naija Reality TV Show Chinenyenwa Desire Okoebor popularly known as ChiChi has explained why she preferred to be identified as an Igbo girl even though she is originally from Edo state.
The reality star stated this in one of her recent interviews with Hero Daniels of ITC media.
According to ChiChi, she is an indigene of Edo State because her father is from there but she was born and raised in Anambra State and this made her learn and speak Igbo language and also understand their culture more than that of Edo State.
She added that she bears an Igbo name and as such considers herself as an Igbo girl.
Recall that while on the Big Brother Naija Reality TV Show, ChiChi disclosed that her father who is from Edo State but now late got married to her late mother who is from Anambra State.
Chichi noted that her father died when she was just 6 years old and her mother was nowhere to be found while she was growing up but later reconnected with her.
She said the experience she went through while growing up is not what a girl child is supposed to through and this lead her to venture into exotic dance as a profession in other to take care of herself as such she has stated a number of times that the exotic dance saved her from many danger she would have encountered while growing up and that the profession is not bad as people made it look like.
The reality star has also shared her dream of starting a humanitarian service to help bring young people out from the street as no girl child is supposed to go through what she went through in life.
