Nigerian singer Cynthia Morgan has called out veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie urging him to respect other people’s culture saying he made her go against her culture.
This comes shortly after Pete Edochie’s encounter with the Ooni of Ife which some social media users criticized,
Cynthia Morgan said Pete Edochie should try as much as possible to respect other people’s tradition, noting that the movie star is held in high esteem, and she wants him to also do the same by respecting people’s culture.
Taking to her Instagram story, she recalled how the Legendary actor made her do what women don’t do in their culture.
“I like the fact that Pete Edochie’s tradition is being respected today and I hope he learns to respect other people’s traditions too moving forward. i.e. (that is) That Benin woman cannot give a common or a titled Ibo man an “Osiba” for no just reason. Unlike when he forced me to give him an Osiba in 2016 in Okrika precisely. Cheers”.
It was gathered that a Nigerian man had dragged Pete Edochie for allegedly disrespecting the Ooni of Ife at an event.
This came after a short clip, where Pete Edochie was captured having a handshake with the Monarch rather than a bow, surfaced online.
