Gunmen kill two commercial motorcyclists in a failed robbery: Two commercial motorcyclists have been killed during a failed robbery at a commercial bank in Okuku, Odo-Otin Local Government Area of Osun State according to police.
SP Yemi Opalola, the state police spokesperson, told Newsmen in Osogbo that the robbers shot and killed the motorcyclists because they thought they were chasing them.
According to Opalola, the incident occurred at 1 am on Thursday March 11, 2021.
“When the incident was registered, Mr Olawale Olokode, the Commissioner of Police, dispatched special units and mobile policemen to Okuku right away.
“The chief of police later returned with a team to the crime scene and discovered that the criminals had abandoned their car and fled into the bushes.
“The robbers killed two commercial motorcycle operators as they were attempting to flee,” Opalola said.
She said that the police team was combing the bushes with the help of vigilantes to catch the robbers.
“It’s essential to remember that the plan was thwarted.
“The cops are always on the lookout for the criminals in order to catch them and put them to justice,” she told Newsmen
