Some users around the world appear to be unable to access the WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram apps.
According to online outage trackers, this started around 4:30 p.m. today, October 4.
Soon after the first report, #facebookdown trended on Twitter, with users all over the world reporting connectivity issues.
In response to the outage, WhatsApp informed users via their official Twitter account that they are working to restore the app.
