Egyptian Club Aswan SC of the Egyptian Premier League has finalized the free transfer of Nigerian midfielder Raphael Ayagwa.
Ayagwa’s previous team in the Nigeria Professional Football League was Lobi Stars.
The 24-year-old is Aswan’s 21st acquisition after their promotion to Egypt’s premier division last season.
A few newcomers to the team are Ahmed Hamoudi, Malick Evouna, and Mohamed Hamdi Zaki; all of these players signed on a free transfer or a loan.
With Plateau United, Ayagwa won the NPFL championship in 2019.
The talented midfielder joined Norwegian club Lillestrom in 2018, but only stayed for one season.
Additionally, he spent time with FC Tulsa in the 2020–21 campaign.
