As a way of giving back to society and encouraging healthy and sound education, the Keffi Old Boys Association (KOBA) set 23 renovated eight classrooms and two offices at Government College Keffi.
The project was revealed during the commissioning and handover of the building to the school authority on Saturday 27 February 2021.
The State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Hajiya Fatu Jemaita Sabo also praised the KOBA, for their effort in providing a conducive learning environment for the students.
The commissioner, who was represented by the college principal Audu Ohimegye, expressed joy and appreciation for KOBA’s renovation and other major interventions in the state’s education sector and urged other old boys associations to follow in KOBA’s footsteps in assisting the government in improving the state’s educational standards.
In her words, the commissioner announced that the state has over 400 public schools, stressing the importance of everyone working together to help the government overcome some of the sector’s emerging problems and promote quality education.
However the President General of KOBA, Engr. Edward Ujege, who was also represented by KOBA Secretary-General, Mr. Sam Israel said KOBA set 23 carried out the renovation as part of their endeavor to give back to their Alma mata,

In his words, the Chairman of the old students of Government College Keffi set 23, who undertook the renovation project, Mr. Benedict Dingba urged the school administration and students to jealously guard the renovated classrooms in their own interests and for the education sector’s overall growth.
Government College, Keffi was the defunct northern region’s first secondary school, producing many of the region’s elites and top professionals in various fields of human endeavor.
