Today on how to do we will be making coconut oil
Coconut oil is high in fatty acids and antioxidants, which help to reduce ageing and damage to our skin and hair. When it comes to hair, using coconut oil helps keep moisture in place and prevents protein loss from combing damage. If you’ve been suffering from dry, itchy skin, dandruff, and hair loss, coconut oil is a fantastic remedy for it.
However, coconut oil is used in different other ways for example it can be used in cooking, it can be used as a body cream for baby and adult and also as hair cream.

I will be teaching you the old and modernize the method
- The old method;
Note that this method takes a longer time
Blend or grate your coconut
Add hot water to it
Let it cool down
Now wash to bring out the coconut chaff (make sure you wash until
the coconut no longer has the milk)
Leave in the bowl
Make sure it’s covered to avoid dirt
Leave in the bowl for at least 10 hours
Use a big spoon to fetch the top of the coconut juice
You will notice that the top part is very creamy
Just keep fetching until you notice that it’s the only water that is left
Put the creamy part in a pot
Cook on low heat until that creamy part turns to oil
No other ingredients are required
Once the oil is out
Allow it to cool
Pour in a container and start using.
- Modernize method
This method is faster because it doesn’t take time to freeze and the
creamy part comes out faster

Once the coconut water freeze
Bring it out and take the creamy part
Put in a pot and cook in low heat until the water dries
Then your oil will start forming
Just monitor the process
Once the oil is out
Leave to cool
Your coconut oil is ready
