Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, has received prayers from the Christ the Light Chapel in Lagos for his success in the 2023 elections.
The prayers were said during the 2022 Christmas Carol at the church in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, which was organized by the state chapter of the “Project Beyond Lagos” and had as its theme: “A Gift that Impacts Through Culture of Generosity and Great Vision.”
In a sequence of prayers and supplications, they offered Tinubu to God, pleading with him to provide him the mental clarity necessary to continue the ongoing campaign.
The event, an interdenominational one, hosted by the Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Anofiu Olarewaju-Elegushi.
Mr Elegushi called on the event attendees to continue to pray for the success of the ruling party’s candidates at all levels in the 2023 elections.
“In the forthcoming elections, we as a party have sellable candidates who can better the lot of Nigerians. As a party, we are calling on all of us to make an intentional effort at ensuring that APC’s candidates come victorious,” he said.
In his remark, the presiding Chaplin of the church, Ven. Ezekiel Oluwadare, said they will continue to pray for the election of Mr Tinubu and all APC candidates.
The preacher said that with the contributions Mr Tinubu had made in churches across the country, it will be bad for the Christains to abandon him now.
