Cameroon national team coach, Rigobert Song has shown confidence that the Indomitable Lions will triumph over Brazil in their last group stage match of the 2022 World Cup.
The African nation, Cameroon, played draw on a 3-3 scoreline against Serbia in their last meeting Monday and is hoping to win against the Brazilian side who have already qualified for the knockout stages of the competition after defeating Switzerland in a 1-1 victory yesterday.
Rigobert Song mentioned that they are not in the tournament to make up the numbers, but to win and Brazil is not an exclusion.
“We believe we can do it against Brazil,” Song said at his post-match press conference
“We didn’t come to the World Cup to just make up the numbers, to take part.
“We think we can still have a say in the tournament even if we know Brazil is a great team.”.
Also from yesterday’s match day, Portugal faced Uruguay yesterday and they were triumphant, as they won Uruguay in a 2-0 victory courtesy of Bruno Fernandes goal.
