Famous Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, has won Grammy Award in the category she was nominated.
She won the award at the ongoing ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday February 5th, 2023.
Her contribution to the hit ‘Wait For U’ by Future featuring Drake earned her the award.
However, award-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogbulu, also known as Burna Boy lost two nominations.
He lost the ‘Best Global Music Album’ and the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ categories.
Wizkid calls Tems and Burna Boy his family
Multiple award-winning Nigeria singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid says he says Grammy-winning singers Tems and Burna Boy are his family members as he speaks on his relationship with Burna Boy.
Wizkid stated this in a recent interview on BBC Radio 1 Xtra.
Wizkid made the statement despite the alleged malice between him and Burna Boy.
When asked by the interviewer whom he would choose between Tems and Burna Boy he said he can’t choose one over another as they are both family to him.
Away from that, Wizkid was recently seen in a video vibing to Burna Boy’s song after their trended online fight.
This move from Wizkid has generated a lot of reactions from fans after they both argued about who is richer.
Though the video is not new but resurfaced after their recent fight.
