A former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan and a staunch critic of President Mohammadu Buhari’s administration, Reno Omokri has accused the President of being responsible for the failure of Morocco to qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup final as they lost to France by 2:0.
Omokri took to his official Twitter handle to make the claim, stating the President has a negative human spirit that curses failure.
He went further to state that when the President congratulates you it means your enemies want to frustrate you.
“Buhari negative human spirit has done it again for Morocco so eerily in the game! Why did he congratulate them?
“When Buhari congratulates you, it means your enemies want to frustrate you. Tinubu, take note!
On seeing his claim against the President some Nigerians called him out for making such claim against the Nigerian leader.
A Twitter user with the name Eguagie Samuel said Reno is insensitive for making such statement, adding that he has lost his direction in life.
“You are insensitive, for such a statement, why would you say, a president has a negative spirit. You have missed your direction”.
Another user with the name Sam Leke the President has nothing to do with Morocco’s loss and that football is not politics, while he noted that France had a better team than Morocco.
“This man, what has Buhari got to do with Morocco’s performance? You think soccer is like politics? The better side won and that is France. Player for player, France has a better team. Defending champions, more experienced coach, and so on”.
