British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has condemned the Myanmar military After Myanmar’s ambassador to Britain was locked out of the London embassy on Wednesday, April 7 2021.
Dominic made the reaction on his official Twitter handle on Thursday, April 8 2021.
“We condemn the Myanmar military regime’s bullying conduct in London yesterday, and I pay tribute to Kyaw Zwar Minn for his bravery.”
“The UK continues to call for an end to the coup and the heinous brutality, as well as a rapid restoration of democracy,” he tweeted.
The action comes after Zwar Minn spoke out against the military-led coup on February 1 2021.

Minn demanded the release of civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who was arrested by the military after her party, secured a landslide victory.
The military’s activities sparked mass demonstrations, against which soldiers retaliated with a brutal crackdown on the civilian population.
On Wednesday night, Zwar Minn was refused entrance to the building in what he characterized as a “coup” by the “Myanmar military.”
“They’re refusing to let me in.
“They said they got orders from the capital, but they’re not letting me in,” he told the reporters.
According to DPA, the British Foreign Office did not obtain official notice of the ambassador’s dismissal via the proper diplomatic channels at all.
The British Foreign Office has not yet issued an official notice of a replacement for Zwar Minn.
According to DPA, Britain is in touch with the embassy’s charge d’affaires.
