Bandits attack Katsina village: 12 people have been killed and women raped as bandits attacked Duba village in Batsari council area of Katsina State on Saturday, August 21.
According to a Batsari resident who requested anonymity, women were raped in the attack at the village, which is just a few kilometres from Batsari town.
“The attackers arrived in large numbers in the evening and carried out their atrocities unabated.” “As we speak, 12 people have been confirmed dead, and we are still searching the nearby bush for possible additional corpses,” the resident explained.
“The attackers have recently terrorized this area, attacking villages and killing people almost on a daily basis, and they are doing so without any remorse.”
As of the time of filing this report, police authorities had yet to confirm the incident.

Meanwhile, a member of the community, Musbahu Salisu Duba, said his younger brother was among those killed in the attack.
He also shared photos from the victims’ funerals.
