Atiku Abubakar`, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) nominee for president, has pledged to stop the country’s constant bandit attacks in southern Kaduna and other regions.
Atiku made the pledge during a trip to Southern Kaduna, where he met with religious leaders and other stakeholders under the leadership of Apostle Emmanuel Kure, the founder of Throne Room Ministries in Kafanchan.
Along with other PDP party leaders, he was accompanied by his running partner, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the Director General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, and Aminu Tambuwal, the Governor of Sokoto State.
Today’s trip to southern Kaduna was enjoyable. One highlight was the large number of fans we encountered on the way, which caused us to be a little late for our obligations.
The former vice-president expressed his condolences to the residents of Kaura Local Government Area following the recent attacks on the Malagum and Sokwong settlements, which resulted in roughly 37 fatalities, in a statement to journalists following the meeting conducted behind closed doors on Monday.
Apostle Emmanuel Kure, the founder of Throne Room Ministry, expressed hope for calm general elections in 2023. He claims that the exercise will include several surprises for the benefit of the nation.
Atiku Abubakar` also met with the clergy, youth and student unions in Kafanchan where he restated his resolve to transform Southern Kaduna.
In their separate submissions, representatives of the clergy, youth and student unions, urged the candidate to remember his promises if elected to lead Nigeria.
They all noted that the former vice president’s proven track record had placed him in a good position to govern the country.
