Arewa Youths ask FG: The Arewa Youth Advisory Forum (AYCF) has urged the Federal Government to ban the reality television show Big Brother Naija.
Yerima Shettima, the AYCF National President, made the announcement on August 6, while speaking to reporters.
Shettima called the show a calamity and said it should be discouraged because it promotes “immorality.”
“It is a disaster for me. I never believed in BBNaija, and I do not believe it is fair because the show is immoral. A spectacle like this should not be encouraged.
“I have frequently stated that this show promotes immorality and that the Nigerian government should prohibit it from being broadcast in our country.

“You see, a lot of people are watching to see immoral acts, these sexual things flaunting their nudity, and they made it look like a ‘blue film,’ which is to be discouraged.
“I urge true patriots to come together and draw the government’s attention to the implications of this program, which should be avoided,” he said.
BBNaija is a reality show in which contestants live in a remote house and compete for a large cash prize at the end of the show by avoiding being evicted by viewers.
