According to reports, Sergio Ramos of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal are both targets for the Saudi Arabian football team Al-Nassr. The footballing world was shocked when the Riyadh-based club approached the former Manchester United striker with a massive €200 million-per-year contract.
Sergio Ramos’, a PSG player since 2021, has long been regarded as one of his generation’s top defenders. With Real Madrid, the Spanish international won four La Liga championships and four Champions League trophies, among other honors. He has also played a significant role for Spain’s national squad, helping lead them to a World Cup in 2010 and two European Championships titles.
On the other hand, Ronaldo is regarded as one of the greatest players of all time and a global symbol of football. With Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, the Portuguese striker amassed an illustrious career that included five Ballon d’Or medals and countless championships.
Since leaving Manchester United in November of this year, Ronaldo has been a free agent. However, he apparently doesn’t want to leave Europe this year, since he still wants to play for a major European team and contend for the Champions League.
Ramos and Ronaldo played for Los Blancos for almost ten years and were a part of the storied squad that won the Champions League three times in a row from 2015 to 2018.
According to the sources, Al-Nassr wants to sign the pair, which would be a huge victory for the Saudi Arabian team. Both players have apparently accepted a sizable offer from Al-Nassr.
Although it’s unclear whether the plan will materialize, Al-Nassr would benefit greatly from the prospective addition of Ramos and Ronaldo. Both players have a track record of success and would contribute a wealth of talent and experience to the team. Additionally, their singing will highlight the growth of football in the Asian region on a worldwide scale.
