Richard Sylvanus, a filmmaker based in Abuja has been arrested for allegedly impersonating Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.
Sylvanus allegedly opened YouTube and Gmail accounts in the name of Regina Daniels and defrauded unsuspecting Nigerians to the tune of N1 million.
He was apprehended after Daniels’ lawyer reported the incident to police.
DSP Josephine Adeh, a spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, confirmed the arrest.
Adeh went on to say that the case is still being investigated.
