Abike Jagaban, the reputed lover of the Ooni of Ife, has made a public service announcement.
The Yeye Bewaji of Itori drew everyone’s attention at a recent function when she stepped out in style with the Ooni’s staff.
This sparked outrage on social media, with many criticising the monarch for not respecting his staff.
Following the incident, many have referred to her as the next Ife queen.
Abike appears to have issued a message to the public in response to the incident.
She indicated that she prefers to be addressed as her parents christened her, rather than as an Instagram-imposed title of Queen in Waiting.
She did, however, state that the name and title are susceptible to change, but only in the future.
“As of this day, my name remains Toluwatope Olowogaba the Yeye Bewaji of Itori Land, aka QAJ the founder of the No Cyberbullying Team, the founder of Abike Jagaban Helping Hands Foundation, the CEO of AJ Trendy Z Store the CEO.kf Abike Jagaban Events n Parties and Queen of Lovers of Cyber Freedom and Peace and I would like to be addressed with the above names and no other until further notice. Love all the way”.
Abike Jagaban Ooni’s alleged lover
Recall that over the weekend, Abike Jagaban, who is said to be close to the Ooni of Ife, was spotted at a social gathering in Lagos, escorted by the Ooni of Ife’s office staff.
According to reports, the occasion was her grandmother’s burial, followed by a banquet at an event centre with the Ooni of Ife’s staff serving as an escort.
When Abike, the Yeye Bewaji of Itori land, walked in, a palace guard with the Ooni of Ife’s office staff was observed following her everywhere.
This could have gone unnoticed by some visitors, but the staff of the Ooni of Ife’s office has recently been present at five weddings of his queens without the monarch’s attendance.
But the blogger seemed unconcerned and proceeded to the party with the office employees escorted by an escort.
“The staff of the office of the king represents him and could be at anyone’s party as long as it’s the king’s emissary carrying it. It’s a mark of honour and Abike is no stranger to the palace. If the king or anyone from Ile Ife couldn’t attend the party physically, the staff of the office would honour the invite. Nobody should place any unusual meaning to the office staff at Abike Jagaban’s party,” palace sources revealed to Kemi Ashefon.
