According to reports, Bayern Munich regret passing up the chance to capture Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United during the summer.
According to El Nacional, they are currently planning to sign the Portugal international in January.
Throughout the summer, there were many uncertainties regarding the future of the Portugal international at Manchester United.
Several European clubs, including Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Sporting Lisbon, among others, were interested in signing the former Real Madrid and Juventus player.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, though, chose to remain at Old Trafford after Bayern turned on the opportunity to sign him.
Then it was said that Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes contacted Bayern Munich’s board in an effort to clinch the Portuguese player’s transfer to the Allianz Arena, but they were turned off by the costs and Ronaldo’s advanced age.
However, it seems that Ronaldo is still trying to leave Old Trafford, and Bayern may be shifting their position on the forward.
Since they have failed to win any of their last four Bundesliga matches, drawing three, and losing one, Julian Nagelsmann’s team’s lack of offensive firepower is starting to cause concern.
