Kylian Mbappe, Paris Saint Germain star has told Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo that their time is up.
According to The Mirror, the Frenchman stated in a recent interview with the New York Times that he has always dreamed of winning everything, including the Ballon d’Or.
According to him, a new generation is in place, thus Messi and Ronaldo should make room for a different champion to emerge.
With seven for Messi and five for Ronaldo, the two have earned a combined total of 12 Ballon d’Or awards in history.
Kylian Mbappe said: “I think I’m about to win it [the Ballon d’Or]. I always say I dream about everything. I have no limits,” Mbappe said.
“So of course, like you say, it’s a new generation. And Ronaldo, Messi — you’re gonna stop.
“We have to find someone else, someone new.”
