Poverty in Nigeria: According to World Bank, Nigeria’s poor population would reach 95.1 million by 2022.
The international finance organization observed in a report titled “A Better Future for All Nigerians: 2022 Nigeria Poverty Assessment” that “poverty reduction in Nigeria appears to have stopped in the last decade.”
While “poverty may have started reducing in the first half of the 2010s, the trend stalled and then reversed around 2015,” according to the report.
