Dr Chike Akunyili, the late husband of late former Information Minister and NAFDAC boss Prof. Dora Akunyili, was assassinated by unidentified gunmen.
According to The Nation, the medical doctor was killed on Tuesday evening, September 28 at Umuoji in Anambra State’s Idemili North LGA.
Late Chike Akunyili had just returned from a meeting of the University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Association (UNAA), where he spoke highly of his late wife, who was also a member, and was on his way home when he was assassinated by the gunmen.
