Seven female wedding guests have been killed in a car accident in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The accident, which involved a Toyota Sienna with about nine women on board, was reported to have occurred on Orogun Road around 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 21.
The women, who were said to be from Agorodei Peile Quarters in Delta State’s Bomadi community, were returning from a wedding ceremony of their sister in Agbor when the incident occurred.
Their vehicle, according to reports, veered off the road into a bush and somersaulted several times. Seven people were killed on the spot, including the driver. However, two people survived.

The two survivors were reportedly rushed to a hospital in the Ughelli community.
Prince Perekeme Bonny, a member of the Bomadi community, said the deceased will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
“The Great lost at BOMADI town. Seven beautiful Vibrate ladies dead at a motor accident on their way back home, from their sister marriage ceremony at Agbo and after everything they drove back, the motor tumbled into a Calvert river. Two ladies survived and seven ladies died. All are from Agorodei peile Quarters, BOMADI federated Urban community.” he wrote.
