Samantha Markle, Meghan Markle’s half-sister, has asked the Duchess of Sussex to allow her and their father, Thomas Markle, to meet her children, Archie and Lilibet.
Thomas Markle, Meghan Markle’s estranged father, announced last week that he will sue her for the right to see his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet.
Samantha, the Duchess of Sussex’s half-sister, commented on the situation, saying she supports her father’s decision to sue Meghan.
“My dad has always been a wonderful father and grandfather to all of his grandchildren, and he has met them all except Archie and Lilibet,” Samantha told US Weekly. It has been very cruel for my sister to unjustly exclude him from her life from the wedding to the present, and to deprive him as a grandfather of one of life’s greatest joys while he is still alive, which is seeing his grandchildren.”
“I support his decision to petition the courts to use his naturally granted grandparents’ rights to visit his grandchildren,” she added.

“Grandparents do have an interest in their grandchildren, and it is unfortunate that he has to formalize his rights through court rather than my sister doing the right thing and being the humanitarian that she claims to be, which inadvertently deprives the two children of meeting their grandfather before he passes away and, at the very least, having a photograph that they can look back on of them with him.”
Samantha claimed Meghan is “completely unaware of her children’s short and long-term best interests.”
Samatha has been critical of Meghan since the news of her relationship with Prince Harry became public.
Samantha Markle told Inside Edition that the real truth was “totally ignored and omitted” following Meghan’s Oprah interview.
“Depression is not an excuse for treating people like dishrags and discarding them,” Samantha added.
