Lucy Essien was born in Cross River State, Nigeria, in 1990. She attended the Federal Government Girls’ College in Calabar for her secondary education after finishing her primary education in Cross River State.
She was accepted to the prestigious Cross River University of Technology, Calabar (CRUTECH) in 2011, and graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Education degree (B.Ed.) in Elementary Education and Teaching.
Unlike some of the other housemates, such as Laycon and Erica, Lucy Essien is a newcomer to the Nigerian entertainment industry. Lucy’s first job was as a sales representative at Cocoa Products Store, where she was hired with only her SSCE certificate.
